The Amazing Peezles!

Pipi, aka Peezles, is a Hemingway. Does anyone know what that is? It is a polydactyl. She has six toes on both front paws. She is part of an elite group of cats that are bred specifically for their fabulous personality, exceptional demeanor. Ernest Hemingway was known to have hundreds of polydactyls on his property, and they are still there today. She is quite a cat. She thinks she is human. She will try to sit and have a conversation with people - meowing of course - but in a way that it makes one think she is conversing with ya! Hilarious! If anyone else has a polydactyl, Hemingway, let me know - maybe we can exchange their goofy stories, pics, etc. This is what she looks like when her WATER IS EMPTY!!!! (Same look when her food bowl is empty).

Breeze Litter System for Cats: Any opinions?

great apartment 'vacuum' for a decent price

i've been holding off on getting a new vacuum, thinking that if i just waited until next paycheck i might be able to afford a nice one (bissell!! sigh). but this weekend i realized that the state of our (already old and ratty) apartment carpet was beyond bad, and i couldn't wait any longer. still didn't have the cash in hand for anything spiffy, so i took a stroll around BB&B looking for some kind of good solution.

et voila! i found the vx3 cordless floor and carpet cleaner. it's not actually a vacuum at all -- there's no holding tank or bag or anything like that, just a base with a small compartment. but i have a lot of faith in shark ever since finding the steam mop on the side of the road, taking it home, and finally getting rid of those grease stains on the tile under the stove (hubby likes bacon!)... so i figured, why not. plus, the pictures on the front package of it vacuuming spilled dirt made me think it might be able to handle the ever-present litter problem (our cats are diggers, and i haven't found a solution for this yet aside from constant sweeping and vacuuming). brought it home, and immediately loved the swivel and cordless action. and it sucked up stuff that our old vacuum definitely never got -- litter, cat hair, people hair, dust, you name it.

so, all in all, i'm thinking this is a great buy for small apartments with both flooring and carpeting. granted, i've only had it for a day. i'm hoping that due to it's not-vacuum-nature, it won't lose suction over time. anyone else out there have one of these and know for sure?

loving the furminator

reached a shedding breakdown (cat hair everywhere, and my vacuum broke!) yesterday, so i finally went to petco and bought a furminator, based on the recommendations of pretty much everyone here. (i also bought a new vacuum, but i'm hoping not to have to use it nearly as much, since that's what -- aside from being cheap -- broke the old one) and everyone was right, this thing is the best. hobbes likes to roll around on the ground and have his belly scritched, and every single time i come away with handfuls of hair. but he did this after i spent just a couple of minutes on him with the furminator, and hardly a hair came out. hallelujah!

so now i'm wondering, how often should i furminate? is it safe to do daily (or as often as the cats will allow), or should it only be done every now and then? anyone have any thoughts?

I currently have the booda dome but I'm thinking I should get a bigger litter for my two kittens or at least a second one based on the advice of family and sugar friends. Does anyone have or know someone who has this one?

Litter Box Apprehension

My aunt passed on some information to me concerning a possible dilemma I may have in the future with my kittens. She suggests that as they get older they will become more territorial and want their own litter boxes. At this point they came from the same litter and do everything together..and when given the space they get in the litterbox together. Should I make a preemptive strike and buy another litter box (although I totally don't have the space for another) , or wait until I find poop in a random place and take the hint?

We are new to this world and our owner has been looking for names for us. Her mother insists on calling us Goldie and Nala, but our owner doesn't exactly like those names. Can anyone come up with something better?

that's why my mom always call me "two color"

i love to stay near the window and watching when the bird fly.
and sometime when my mom cooking...i always go with her.
